About Us
Who We Are
Universal Marketing is an independent, fan-operated EU distributor and importer — not a local retailer operating in a single market. We purchase Trooper Beer and officially licensed Iron Maiden beverages and merchandise directly from the licensed producers, import them into the EU, and distribute them to fans across all EU member states. We are not affiliated with Iron Maiden or their management in any capacity; we simply believe these products deserve to be accessible to every fan in Europe, not just those lucky enough to live near a specialist retailer.
Operating across the EU is meaningfully more complex than selling in a single country. Alcohol import regulations, labelling requirements, customs procedures, and distribution rules vary significantly between member states — navigating all of that is what we do, so our customers don’t have to. Every product in our range is genuine, officially licensed merchandise sourced directly from the producers who hold the relevant Iron Maiden licensing agreements.
One Store. Every Product. All of Europe.
Our goal is simple: bring together the full range of Trooper Beer and Iron Maiden beverages — sourced from breweries, wineries, and distilleries across multiple countries — and make them available through a single webstore, with a single checkout, shipped to your door anywhere in the EU. No hunting across different national retailers. No paying international shipping from five different sources. One order, one shipment, one experience.
You can mix and match products freely — beers, wines, rum, merchandise — in a single order. That flexibility is something no single-country retailer can offer across the EU, and it is the core reason this store exists.
Trooper Beer — A Heritage Worth Raising
Trooper Beer is one of the most recognised rock-licensed beers in the world. Created through a collaboration between Iron Maiden and Robinsons Brewery, it was launched in May 2013 by Iron Maiden lead singer and real ale enthusiast Bruce Dickinson. As of 2026, Trooper has surpassed 45 million pints sold across 68 countries — making it the most successful band-beverage collaboration in history.
The core range includes Trooper Ale (4.7% ESB), Sun and Steel (4.8% pilsner infused with Japanese Saké), Fear of the Dark (4.5% chocolate stout), Trooper IPA (6.0%), Hallowed (6.0% Belgian-style ale), and Trooper X (10.0% Imperial Stout). Regional and limited variants include Trooper Brasil IPA, Trooper Progressive Lager, Trooper Basque Ale, and the non-alcoholic Running Free, among others.
Trooper is brewed by a network of official brewing partners around the world. Robinsons Brewery in Stockport, UK remains the primary producer of the core range. Regional partners include Nils Oscar (Sweden), Crew Republic (Germany), Bodebrown (Brazil), Lagunitas and BrewDog (USA), Nomad Brewing Co. (Australia), Elektrárna Brewery (Czech Republic), and La Salve (Spain). We import directly from these producers and distribute across the EU. Every batch is checked for quality and stored correctly before dispatch.
Beyond Beer — Wine & Rum
Iron Maiden Darkest Red is a dark, intense red blend from Portugal’s Douro region — selected by the band and approved by Eddie. It delivers blackberry, ripe black cherries, and plums layered over subtle spice and a bold, rich finish. Currently available in the refreshed 2026 label, released to mark the Run For Your Lives World Tour.
Iron Maiden — The Rum of the Ancient Mariner is an officially licensed Caribbean Dark Rum inspired by the band’s tribute to Coleridge’s epic poem. Distilled in Barbados, it offers muscovado sugar, dark chocolate, vanilla, and oak on the nose, with a long, warm finish of dried fruit and subtle sweetness. Currently available as a pre-order — a limited edition not to be missed.
Quality & Sourcing
We work exclusively with the licensed producers of each product we carry — never secondary markets or intermediaries. Packaging, from label artwork to bottle format, is as supplied by the producer and approved under their licensing agreements. Many of our products are limited-production collector items, imported in controlled quantities to maintain integrity and availability for genuine fans. Some sell out quickly and may not return to stock for a long time — or at all.
Dispatch Times
Many of the products we carry are produced in small batches across multiple countries, each with their own production schedules, export procedures, and logistics chains. Delays can occur when production schedules shift, supplier deliveries run short, or cross-border alcohol regulations require additional processing time. Orders containing multiple items may also be held until all items are ready to ship together.
While we always aim to ship as quickly as possible, occasional delays are an inherent part of sourcing rare, limited-edition products across a fragmented European supply chain. Any pre-order dates shown on product pages are estimates and may change based on actual production and supplier deliveries. As soon as stock arrives at our warehouse, affected orders are prioritised and dispatched immediately. We send proactive updates whenever timelines shift — you will always know where your order stands.
